Selling a 3-room apartment in Kristiine, on Energia Street.
Do you dream of a home where greenery begins essentially right outside your front door? A place where the apartment is quiet, but if you wish, you can be lively yourself? A place where Bolt or Wolt brings things to your home for free, because restaurants are so close by? Then this apartment is for you!
A HOME FULL OF JOY
If you like being homey, then it's good to know that the neighbors are quiet, but at the same time understanding (or the walls are really thick, I still don't know, because no one has complained). In this apartment, events have been held with around 30 people and with live music (harmonica and singing along with a guitar, but drums haven't been tried). At the same time, the housing association is active and the chairperson is a very practical fellow who immediately sets about solving any matter related to the association.
Starting with the bigger picture, the housing association's end walls and facade have been additionally insulated and renovated, the heating system has been replaced and adjustable radiators installed, new stairwell doors and windows. The roof covering has been replaced (metal) and the roof insulated.
In the kitchen, you're awaited by a dishwasher, electric oven, gas stove and a refrigerator, meaning everything you could want from a kitchen. However, there are several shopping centers nearby (Magistral, Järve Center) as well as several smaller restaurants, if cooking at home doesn't appeal to you.
The bedroom easily fits a 160x200 bed and for clothes there are both rods and several shelves. So that all of this looks visually comfortable even when you can't be bothered to fold clothes as perfectly as on H&M shelves, the cabinets have sliding doors. One of the sliding doors has a mirror so you can put on the perfect shirt before heading out.
The bathroom deserves its name in this apartment. There is a bathtub, pleasantly large, and a new boiler installed in the summer of 2022 does its job well (regularly maintained). Similarly, a new washing machine was purchased in spring 2022.
If security is a concern, then in this case the previous resident was practical. The apartment door has three different locks and the stairwell of the apartment building is locked (you can enter with a chip).
The apartment is in good condition, but here and there there are typical signs of wear that come with living (for example, scratches on some surfaces or fasteners that come with picture frames, which are not planned to be removed without prior agreement).
SPORTS OPPORTUNITIES
Your new home is within sight of the trees of Rahumäe Forest, beneath which it's ideal to exercise, ponder thoughts during a walk or cycle. Via the cycling path it's possible to reach the trails of Harku Forest. I was able to train for a half-marathon with this, starting the run right from my front door, so there's plenty of green space for movement. At the same time, if you want to train indoors, Audentes is two bus stops away or sporthall Nord is within walking distance.
LOGISTICS
In terms of public transport, the convenience is higher than usual. If you want to go to the city center, you can see from the window when bus number 23 is stopped at the traffic light and then reach the bus with a quicker pace, since the bus stop is right in front of the neighboring building's door. Also, the train station is only about 10 minutes away (fun fact, you can take this train in the morning straight to Tartu, because the first Tallinn-Tartu train goes through the Järve stop at the Baltic station and from there to Tartu).
Want to go to the store yourself? Tondi Selver is either 900 meters or two bus stops away! However, I recommend going to Järve Center, which is also 900 meters on foot. There's a great story here, that the pedestrian crossing to Järve Center over the railway was fenced off a few years ago, allegedly for safety reasons. Pedestrians were told, what's the problem, go around where there are crossings. The locals, however, are active and rebellious, didn't go. The Elron fence was cut through repeatedly, sometimes several times in a single day, to make it possible to go straight to Järve Center. The fence builders soon gave up and recognized that it was indeed possible and economical enough to build a pedestrian crossing according to the citizens' wishes in such a way that along Tervise road down towards Järve Center, turning, it's directly possible to cross from there. The corresponding pedestrian crossing ensures that today you can walk to Järve Center in 900 meters directly. Impressive civic activism!
But returning to the matter of the apartment, you might still wonder, where do I put my bicycle? Of course in the basement storage, which you can access conveniently from behind the building! Two bicycles fit there nicely, but I've also fit three. Parking with larger vehicles is free around the building.
Call, ask for more information and let's go see it!
