An old barn house is now for sale in Ridaküla, currently usable as a summer house (with poor thermal insulation, no external wall insulation). A renovation project has been developed for the building, and upon implementation, the summer house can become a year-round home.
Building: The old barn house includes a windbreak, kitchen, 2 rooms, barn room, WC/shower room, barn area, storage room, pantry, cowshed. Mostly renovation work has been done, preserving the style and materials of the time. Wooden floors are partially restored, partially replaced with new. Walls are log and stone, with wooden-framed windows. The roof covering was replaced in the early 2000s. Some exterior wall logs would need to be replaced. The foundation needs improvement and partial reconstruction.
The barn house area is 270.7 m2, of which 102.2 m2 is living space.
Electrical wiring has been replaced. Plumbing has been brought into the house but still needs reworking for daily living, with instances of water pipes bursting in cold - repaired as needed. Hot water from an electric boiler.
Water comes from a well on the property. A collection tank of approximately 15m3 is available for wastewater. There is no drainage field, but it is planned in the project.
Heating: Wood heating, 1 stove is not in working condition.

Future possibilities: According to the renovation project, the house is planned to have 3 rooms, kitchen, living room, utility room, laundry room, hallway, pantry, sauna, sauna anteroom, relaxation room, utility room, shed. The second floor is planned to have 1 bedroom, relaxation room, and attic area. The heating system is also planned to be changed to air-water heating while preserving the stove heating. A renovation consultation report from a specialist has been obtained. It contains detailed errors with pictures and helpful comments for renovation.
Landscaping has been done as much as possible.
