Today, international fintech company Wise celebrated the opening of its largest global office in the fourth quarter, marked by an official ribbon-cutting ceremony and a discussion with Tallinn's mayor. The new office will provide a working environment for more than 2,200 employees.

According to Wise's global head of people Isabel Naidoo the office opening is the next step in the company's growth: "With this expansion, we are focusing on providing our people with the best environment globally, enabling us to collaborate in solving our customers' real problems and making money movement and management simple. Our team includes over 125 nationalities, and many of our people know firsthand how difficult it is to make international payments. The new spaces will help us create a borderless money future, helping approximately 13 million customers save from hidden fees."

Naidoo emphasizes that Wise's employees have been fully involved in shaping the new working environment. "Our new office is accessible and inclusive, focusing on the diverse needs of all our employees and taking the best possible care of everyone's health and well-being. We have involved our employees, designers, and the local community in creating the new office spaces."

Since Wise engages in intensive cross-team collaboration, the new office has a total of 1,837 creative collaborative areas in addition to private and quiet zones. In addition, the office has 1,227 individual work desks. In total, the office can comfortably accommodate over 4,000 people working at any given time.

According to Wise's Europe and United Kingdom head Lars Truni Wise has grown significantly, moving over 36 billion euros each quarter. "We continue to focus on our mission to create the best way to move and manage money around the world. Last year alone, we helped nearly 13 million individuals and businesses worldwide manage their international financial needs, saving them more than 2.1 billion euros in hidden fees. Tallinn is crucial to achieving this mission, as it is home to our largest office, where all teams essential to building our product and delivering our services are represented."

A discussion with Tallinn Mayor Jevgeni Ossinovski highlighted Tallinn's continued and growing importance as a technology city and Wise's significant role in the local economy, noting how the company's expansion supports the creation of high-tech jobs and promotes innovation in the region.

The new office can be considered one of the most innovative offices in Tallinn, where work-life balance is paramount. Therefore, the office also includes areas dedicated to hobbies, such as a band room, prayer and meditation room, sauna, gym, and various entertainment areas. The process of creating the office was based on the idea that it is not just a workplace, but a community hub.

While the grand opening was taking place in Tallinn, Wise also opened a new office in London. As Wise continues its global expansion, it is also expanding its regional hubs in Austin and Singapore. Additionally, a renovation is currently underway at Wise's Budapest office, which employs over 800 employees.
