Well-Known Entrepreneur Develops Large Residential Area by Jägala River
Entrepreneur David Pärnametsa's participation company Jägala Kodud OÜ is developing a residential area of 16 hectares near Jägala waterfall in Jõelähtme.
According to David Pärnametsa, a total of 65 homes will be built in Jõelähtme's Ruu village, of which 40 are detached houses and 25 are residential units in row houses. The "Jõelähtme residents" development will be built in two phases, with the first phase involving the final completion of roads and utility networks, and the planning of roads and utility networks for the second phase is nearing completion. The new development area offers both 2,000 square meter finished plots and turnkey homes," added Pärnametsa.
"Jõelähtme residents are located in a natural environment surrounded by forest, where the number of residential plots is clearly limited. Near the development lies the Jägala River along with Jägala waterfall, and the development area itself is situated between forest massifs owned by the state and RMK. Jägala waterfall is within a short walk, Punakivi beach can be reached with a few minutes' drive, and Tallinn city center in less than half an hour," said Pärnametsa and added that there are also various horse riding centers, Jõelähtme Golf, and Neeme village nearby.
"The Jägala waterfall rest area neighboring the development area is municipally owned and remains largely a natural green space. According to the municipality's general plan, this is recreational and leisure land where massive residential developments or industrial parks are not planned," explained Pärnametsa.
According to Jõelähtme Municipal Administration, the municipality's cooperation with the Jõelähtme residents developer has been smooth and the developer has met all deadlines.
The developer of Jõelähtme residents is Jägala Kodud OÜ, whose leaders have long-term real estate experience. The development sales are advised by Estonia's largest real estate office Uus Maa.
Ruu village, located in Jõelähtme municipality, was first mentioned in the Danish land register in the 13th century. Later it was owned by both the Tallinn Bishop Thorkill and the well-known Schütte and De la Gardie nobility families.
