The bathroom is one of the most pleasant things created in this world. A good refreshing shower or a long soak in the tub with a book and a glass of wine – who could want anything better! Of course, the most enjoyable thing about spending time in the bathroom is when it's also nice to look at.
We've gathered some ideas for you about things that weren't originally designed for the bathroom but fit there perfectly. If you have that kind of taste that can tolerate things that are a bit quirky, of course.

A sink cabinet is not just any cabinet
Since the sink and mirror are usually center stage in the bathroom, the cabinet under the sink should be worthy of them too. We've found some really cool solutions while browsing around the world and internet. As a sink base, you can use, for example:
- a wooden vintage desk,
- a so-called hundred-drawer apothecary cabinet,
- any era nightstand,
- an old television cabinet,
- an old sewing machine table.
The last one has certainly been used quite a lot and isn't very original, but let's be honest – it still looks nice.
Before you put the cabinet in place, check whether its height is suitable or if you need to do some tweaking with the cabinet legs and sink height.
Wallpaper the wall!
If your bathroom setup allows it, consider using some nice or quirky wallpaper on the upper part of the wall. Whether it has fish, flowers, flamingos, or for that matter pink nudes on it.
Wall tiles with interesting texture
Who said bathroom walls have to be smooth? Go to a hardware store and see how many cool things are available. For example, imitate limestone in one wall of your bathroom. Choose a wall that doesn't get constantly wet, then it's easier for you to take care of it.
Forget about boring lights
If you like it, put a lantern in your bathroom. Or a fabric lampshade. Or a floor lamp if you have space. Try thinking completely outside the box for a moment and you won't even be able to believe how original ideas you'll come up with.
Mirror, mirror…
Go to an antique furniture store and pick out the craziest framed mirror from there. Or well, not necessarily the craziest one, but the one you really like. Buy it, bring it home, and hang it on the bathroom wall. Amazing!
Toilet brush, hmm…
Have you ever been in a bathroom where everything is top-notch, except the toilet brush is in the world's most boring and cheapest plastic container. Forget about it. If you're already going to an antique store, pick out a ceramic flower vase of an appropriate size and shape from there, which will take on the role of a toilet brush holder in your home spa.
