Setting a Christmas table does not differ much in its principles from other dinners, but on such a table you can use your imagination more and make it a real feast for the eyes with various details. Check what should definitely be on a modern Christmas table:

WITH OR WITHOUT TABLECLOTH

Traditionally, it is polite to place a tablecloth on the table, and this applies to Christmas eve as well. However, if your dining room is decorated with a pleasant aged wooden dining table, then in such cases leaving the table "bare" adds beauty to the overall impression rather than taking it away. However, you should still use placemats so that the valuable wood does not get damaged if, for example, a glass of almond milk from a smaller guest tips over.

With a tablecloth, you can use one that matches your other style. Red or green or something that suits in any case, such as linen tablecloths and always appropriate white table linens work well.

KNIVES AND FORKS

Use your not-so-everyday set, as using them adds even more specialness to the dinner!

When setting the table, give children the guide we have prepared for you. This way they learn early on how to set the table correctly and use cutlery in the right order. By doing so, you give them a strong foundation for their future life and the confidence to participate correctly in dinners!

PLACE CARDS

You can use place cards even when eating alone with your small family. This small gesture can transform your dinner from the ordinary to the unrecognizable. With place cards you can be very creative and make them exactly as you wish! Or due to lack of time, let the children come up with something.

NAPKINS

You can use both paper varieties and slightly more environmentally friendly and more pleasant to the eye and hand- textile napkins. You will find many folding techniques for these on the internet, but you can always fold them in our favorite style - like a Christmas tree.

DETAILS

As other decorations, add to the table either spruce branches, pine cones, cones, Christmas decorations, gingerbread or whatever else might symbolize Christmas to your family. Don't forget to add candles as well, which add that right magic and mystique when you dim the other lights.
