Heliis Anto, the business director of Pindi Real Estate Management's management services, said that even if the roof covering is torn or peeling by just a few centimeters, both a private house and the top floor of an apartment building can suffer serious moisture damage with the "help" of spring rain, which can cost thousands of euros to repair.

"It's easier and cheaper to check the roof right after the snow melts," said Anto. He added that actually, every housing association chairperson should be able to check the roof condition themselves, but without a sharp eye and safety equipment, such a service for an entire large apartment building costs around a hundred euros.
