Estonia's Most Expensive Apartment Deal Closed in Tallinn
Estonia's largest real estate agency Uus Maa brokered the sale of Tallinn's most expensive apartment in early June in the Meerhofi building in Pirita. The apartment was a penthouse and was two-story with sea and old town views. The buyer had to pay more than 1.8 million euros for the apartment, and it was purchased as a home.
"The prices of the most expensive apartments have not fallen significantly, because they are purchased for extraordinary emotion and price is not decisive, uniqueness and exclusivity matter. The highest-end transactions are not everyday occurrences, but they are still being made now. For example, we advised on the sale of one Kadrioru penthouse that sold for more than one and a half million at the beginning of the year," commented Leet.
"In the segment of very expensive apartments, there is clearly the highest sales and rental interest in the so-called 'golden mile' apartments stretching from the Rotermann center to Noblessner, which the general cooling of the real estate market has not significantly affected," added Leet.
The architects of the Meerhofi residence located at Pirita road 20a are Henno Sillaste and Sander Aas. The nine-story building with larger than average and luxurious apartments was completed in 2015.
