People who are used to using a dishwasher or a clothes dryer can no longer imagine life without them. But why limit yourself to well-known household appliances? If you haven't yet given modern home helpers – robots – a chance, maybe now is the right time to do it! Robots save you time, which you can use for much more enjoyable things than housework.

Let's take a closer look at three robots that can be very useful in home maintenance.

Robot Vacuum Cleaners

Robot vacuum cleaners have been on the market for some time now, so they're probably whirring around in quite a few readers' rooms. They can collect dust from various surfaces, work relatively quietly, crawl into the furthest corner under the bed, and go to their charging station by themselves when the battery starts to run out.

Some models are connected to wifi and you can use an app to give them instructions about when and in which rooms the robot should work. Of course, they work better in rooms where there aren't too many things on the floor or thick carpets. Working on the latter uses more battery (as every housewife knows) and the robot's charge might run out halfway through the job.

Before you give the robot a work command, pick up cables, Lego blocks, and other valuables from the floor (socks!), if you don't want the robot to eat them.

The main advantage of a robot vacuum cleaner is that it can do its job when the family is away from home. For more thorough cleaning, you still need to use a regular vacuum cleaner, but the robot cleans up everyday dirt nicely.

Of course, a robot vacuum cleaner beats a regular vacuum cleaner hands down when it comes to cleaning under cabinets and beds. The robot can simply reach places where you can't work with a regular vacuum cleaner.

Prices vary greatly, ranging from a few hundred euros to around one and a half thousand, so everyone should find one suitable for their needs and means.

Window Cleaning Robot

Do you know anyone who enjoys window cleaning? We certainly don't. Okay, cleaning one or two windows might be quite nice, since window cleaning is a job whose results you can see right away, but if the entire house's windows are waiting to be cleaned, your mood can completely disappear.

Fortunately, clever engineers have come up with something called a window cleaning robot, which does this unpleasant job for you. Especially nice is that the robot isn't afraid of heights and cleans windows as high as needed.

There are different opinions about the reliability of window cleaning robots. Some say the technology needs to develop more, because the robot requires too much attention and assistance. A vacuum cleaner is better and more independent in that regard. Another person is thrilled that such a device has been invented and says they will never clean a window by hand again.

The good news is that a window cleaning robot really does clean the window properly, there's no question about the quality of work.

You can see how a window cleaning robot works in this video.

Floor Cleaning Robot

If floor cleaning is represented in your top three most tedious jobs, then you're in luck, because a robot exists for this job too.

There are quite a lot of models, some spray cleaning solution in front of them and drive over it, others spray cleaner directly into the cloth under their belly.

In general, they are capable of cleaning the floor very well, as can be seen in this video here, where three iRobot floor cleaning robots are, so to speak, put to the test and their features are compared. You just need to make sure the robot doesn't work with one cleaning cloth for too long, otherwise the machine will leave black streaks on the floor and the floor will look worse than before cleaning.

By the way, you can make the robot vacuum cleaner and the floor cleaning robot communicate with each other. Once the first one has done its job, it signals to the second that the floor is ready for cleaning.

In any case, we believe that robots have come to stay and make our lives easier. Robot litter boxes and robot dogs already exist, but maybe we should wait a little longer with those things.
