Real Estate Developers Scandium and Everaus Started Cooperation with Hagen Bikes
Estonian cargo bike manufacturer Hagen Bikes and real estate developers Scandium and Everaus have entered into a strategic partnership to promote green mobility in Harjumaa. New homebuyers at Luige Homes will receive an electric Hagen cargo bike as a gift.
Hagen Bikes cargo bikes are suitable for family mobility and everyday errands, whether it's shopping, trips to daycare or other daily tasks. The bike's special cargo box can accommodate 2 small children, but can also be successfully used for transporting goods or bringing shopping bags home. Scandium and Everaus are jointly gifting each new Luige Homes homebuyer an electric cargo bike suited to their family size. On special order, Hagen manufactures bikes that can accommodate up to four children.
Maido Lüiste, Head of Scandium Real Estate: "As a founding member of the Green Tiger, green thinking is part of our identity. There is a common misconception that families living on the outskirts of the city need a car or multiple cars for everyday errands. Luige, located just 7 km from Tallinn, is connected to Tallinn by a full-length, well-maintained bike path. The route passes a daycare and a grocery store. It is convenient to travel these distances with an electric cargo bike, plus you get some exercise before starting your work day, fresh air and time spent with your children. We are grateful to have found an Estonian cooperation partner whose unique bike makes all of this possible."
Kaspar Peek, Founder and CEO of Hagen Bikes: "The trend of bike riding is growing in Estonia. I myself ride my children daily by cargo bike to daycare and playgrounds. We are pleased that real estate developers also notice green trends and are taking concrete steps to promote them. We share many common values with Scandium and Everaus, and therefore we believe that the cooperation will be fruitful!"
The Luige Homes quarter is being built next to Tallinn in Luige. In total, Scandium and Everaus are jointly developing the area with 20 buildings, most of which are terraced apartment buildings with approximately 90 new homes. Additionally, the quarter will include a childcare facility, green spaces for shared leisure time, and a walking promenade running through the village.
