Rabarebase garden city has certainly caught the eye of many thanks to its bold architectural solutions and green living environment. We learn more from Pinered's development director and partner Sandor Simson about how the project came to life and what opportunities living in a garden city offers.

1. Rabarebase garden city is very distinctive and unique in its architecture. What has inspired it and who is it created for? How has the architecture been adapted to community lifestyle

When we start a new development project, we always first clarify who the future homebuyer is, what their expectations and lifestyle are.

I believe that Carl Jung's name and his theory of archetypes are familiar to many, but we don't think about how archetypes affect us daily and even less about how to apply this knowledge when building or purchasing a home. However, in creating Rabarebase garden city, we have taken just this exciting and unconventional path.

The archetype of Rabarebase is the adventurer who seeks novelty and freedom in their life. They enjoy thinking outside the box while maintaining their authenticity. The Rabarebaner fears inner emptiness and routine and never says NO to new and exciting challenges. The Rabarebaner is an ambitious adventurer and attracts homebuyers with a similar spirit.

This is how we differentiate ourselves in style from all other developments and dare to come up with modernist and eye-catching solutions. Yet these homes do not lack coziness, warmth and functionality.

Before starting the design process, we conducted a survey among people to find out what they emphasize when purchasing a new home. It turned out that our homebuyers prefer uniqueness and choice options to standard solutions, two different house types were created that people have the opportunity to customize according to their wishes and needs. In addition, we also offer several different solutions in interior finishing that would best suit the homebuyer's lifestyle.

2. You have already sold a large number of apartments. What have people who purchased homes here highlighted as main preferences?

Garden cities are themselves attractive to Estonian people due to their nature-oriented concept. In addition, they provide families with children with important quality of life that densely populated residential areas with traffic do not allow. But people also want to experience something new and innovative, and Rabarebase garden city does offer that with its fresh design.

In addition, the configurator allows you to choose a house as 3-7 rooms, thus satisfying the needs of both smaller and larger families.

It is also important to note the role of a unified community. The emerging commune of Rabarebase garden city enables social interaction and support for both children and adults, and contributes to the creation of a safe and cohesive living environment.

3. Tell us more about the garden city's landscape architecture? What opportunities are available here for children and spending time together outside the home garden?

Although home gardens are large and offer diverse opportunities for relaxation, we have carefully planned common areas as well. Keywords are certainly greenery and harmony, but our special focus is also on safe movement. One-way roads and low speed limits ensure that it is safe to move around in the garden city for both the smallest family members and elderly people.

With children in mind, we are building two playgrounds in Rabarebase garden city – in a fenced area, small children can safely have fun and the other playground is created for the whole family and community to spend time together.

Many will certainly appreciate that children's activities can be monitored even from the home window. This opportunity generally does not exist in large residential areas.

4. What are Kiili's development perspectives as a family-oriented living environment?

Kiili is a rapidly developing and growing residential area and is attracting more and more families who prefer peace and life close to the city. Rabarebase garden city is in the immediate vicinity of shops, restaurants, schools and kindergartens. There are also opportunities for sports and fitness. The cycle paths here offer equally good opportunities for walking, morning jogging and cycling. Proximity to the forest, fresh air and birdsong blend together like stress-free life, and this is what people increasingly value.

5. Have the design of the apartments been based on sustainability principles and environmental protection and how?

Certainly, today when developing new residential areas, we cannot overlook the principle of environmental sustainability. The apartments in Rabarebase garden city are designed in accordance with sustainability standards and we are leaving a diverse and sustainable living environment for future generations as well. When building A-energy class buildings, only high-quality materials have been used that ensure high construction quality and a comfortable indoor climate. Solar panels installed on the roof help reduce energy costs.

We have electric car charging points in the garden city. In addition, we cooperate with Citybee, which allows residents here to use a rental car service if needed.

In creating Rabarebase garden city, we have taken to heart the creation of high-quality and family-friendly space and its detailed planning and design. This allows us to ensure the best results and create homes where we would want to live ourselves.
