PoCo Pop Art Museum Got the Region's Most Powerful Digital Art Display Screen
In collaboration with Euronics and Samsung, a unique cutting-edge PoCo screen called The Wall has arrived at the Pop Art Museum, taking the technological presentation of digital art to a new level and enabling the museum to bring the works of the world's best digital artists to its visitors.
Samsung's microLED screen The Wall, which is four meters wide and capable of displaying extraordinarily sharp images, is reportedly the largest, most modern, and highest quality display technology of its kind in museums in the Northern and Baltic regions.
PoCo will open its first digital art exhibition on the new screen on October 26th, created in collaboration with international artists and artificial intelligence. "Artificial intelligence is certainly the keyword of the world in 2023, and the same applies to art. This is reflected in the specially curated and continuously updated exhibition 'Dreaming with Machines,' which is composed of works by world-leading authors. With the help of artificial intelligence, artists have created a colorful and nuanced pop art story about our world," said PoCo founder Linnar Viik, noting that the exhibition skillfully conveys the current dynamics of contemporary art.
Euronics helped supply and install Samsung's The Wall microLED panel screen in the museum, with extensive long-term experience in supplying and installing digital solutions in the Baltics.
"The Samsung The Wall installation team requires special certification and expertise, and due to the screen's dimensions, the installation process began outside the museum entrance, as it was not possible to bring the product into the building in its packaging. The result is very good and we see that thanks to rapid technological development and long-term reliability, increasingly high-quality digital solutions are reaching public spaces," said Euronics Business Client Manager Taavi Rehepapp.
According to the manufacturers, The Wall is designed for continuous operation, which makes it well-suited for public spaces such as museums. The screen is also distinguished by its cutting-edge production technology, which is significantly more time-consuming than that of other screens.
"While televisions are produced in Samsung's Slovak factories tens of thousands of units per day, The Wall All-in-One 146-inch 4K resolution screens are produced at only three units. The Wall's lifespan is 150,000 hours, which, when running 24/7, equals 17 years. This is an example of how Samsung continues to seek new and better solutions not only for home use but also for public spaces," noted Samsung Estonia Key Account Manager Ergo Vahtras.
The Samsung 4K resolution screen The Wall All-in-One installed in PoCo has a 146-inch diagonal. The screen is based on microLED technology with a pixel pitch of 0.84 millimeters. MicroLED technology allows for the installation of a screen of appropriate size according to the room's size and purpose of use. The screen stands out for its exceptional image quality, which highlights deep black tones, exceptional contrast, and color purity.
