PHOTOS: A New "Nest" Added to Noblessner Art Courtyard

"Nest 2" is the second light and metal art installation combining these elements in Noblessner. While the first "Nest" was installed in 2024 on the side of Kalaranna Street, "Nest 2" is located on Lennusadama Street near the sea, between Ellingu Park and the nature house Taru.

A bird's nest made of metal branches with a diameter of over 2.5 meters, complete with illuminated bird eggs, is positioned at a height of about 20 meters at the top of a former lighting mast. "Nest 2" greets Noblessner's new neighbor, the nature house Taru, and alludes to finding a pleasant home.

"For Merko, a quality home also means the urban space surrounding buildings. With the aim of enriching the living environment and providing artists with opportunities to exhibit their works, we have installed more than 20 individual works or sculpture groups in Tallinn. Adding a glowing nest to the top of a metal mast is not merely about valuing an old industrial object; it is about making the living environment more joyful," said Indrek Tarto, Head of Merko Homes.
