1. Start gradually
This means don't rush to the kitchen throwing away all the paper. That's not very smart either. However, to help your family adjust to the new situation, start by replacing paper napkins with cloth ones and begin getting acquainted with them, at first only at dinner time. This way everyone can get used to the new routine and accept the new rules more freely.
2. Gather textile napkins
Exactly these kinds of napkins that could replace kitchen paper. However, there should be enough of them so you never run out and the need for paper is minimized. Regular kitchen towels are suitable, and for dirtier tasks, for example old terry cloth towels or pieces cut from them in the right size.

3. Nothing is irreplaceable!
One reason our hand reaches for paper napkins is their convenience. Now it's time to make their reusable counterparts just as convenient. So place napkins in places where they are easy to grab - on the oven handle, near the cutting board, next to the sink. The whole process is also made easier if you place a basket for used napkins in the kitchen. This way you can throw them in there and avoid the inconveniences that come with using them.
