Nordecon Enlisted Artificial Intelligence to Help Build Vector's High-Rise

As the first main contractor in the Estonian construction market, Nordecon has signed a contract with Buildots, a world-leading technology partner, to introduce artificial intelligence-based technology for assessing construction work progress. Artificial intelligence was recently introduced during the construction of the Vector building in Tallinn.

Nordecon has launched a 6-month pilot project to implement artificial intelligence-based technology in the construction of the Vector high-rise building located in Tallinn. Using a platform developed by Buildots, a leading global technology partner based in Israel and the United Kingdom, Nordecon captures 360° images throughout the entire construction process to assess and manage project progress. The Buildots platform enables seamless progress assessment, immediate and rapid data comparison with BIM models and project schedules. The pilot project is being implemented as part of Technopol's AI development program.

How does Buildots work?

360° cameras are used to capture construction progress. Data from the construction site recorded using cameras mounted on helmets is analyzed using an artificial intelligence algorithm. Automatic analysis is fast, efficient and objective. By comparing with the data of the object's BIM model and schedule, the site team has the ability to receive immediate visual and systematic feedback on construction progress. This results in a significant improvement in the efficiency of cost, time and other resource utilization.

All recorded data is anonymous, and the images of people appearing in the photos are blurred and unrecognizable.

Nordecon is implementing the artificial intelligence technology pilot project on the Vector construction site in Tallinn in cooperation with the developer Triple Net Capital. The pilot project has received funding support from the AI development program organized by Technopol, a science and business park.
