On Thursday, a cornerstone was laid for Tammsaare Health Centre, which is an important milestone in the completion of a mega-complex exceeding 55,000 m², which will house, in addition to the health centre, Mustamäe Centre, the 24-storey residential building Mustamäe Manhattan, and a large parking building. In addition to the development plans and currency in circulation, a symbolic vitamin bottle was also placed in the cornerstone capsule – as a metaphor for good health.

The Health Centre will have direct access to Mustamäe Centre, which will result in the creation of Estonia's first mixed-use business and residential quarter built on a shopping centre site - Mustamäe Heart. "We are investing 15 million euros in the construction of the health centre to bring a new level to Mustamäe in terms of service accessibility and urban space. Together with Mustamäe Centre and the new high-rise building on the neighbouring plot, a complete new generation urban hub will be created here, where people can conveniently find solutions to their daily needs in one place," says Maido Lüiste, CEO of Scandium Real Estate.

"We are pleased to help shape one of Tallinn's most user-friendly and comprehensive service centres. This is not just a large construction project – it is a place for the community that brings health and everyday services significantly closer to people," adds Lauri Kaska, member of the board of Eventus Ehitus.

The 6-storey Tammsaare Health Centre under construction brings together under one roof family doctors, laboratory services, dental care, physiotherapy, optometry and other health services, providing a convenient and comprehensive care pathway to more than 100,000 residents at the border of three city districts. The health centre is filling up rapidly - already 30% of the rental space has been pre-booked and SYNLAB has joined, eight family doctor practices, several dental care and rehabilitation clinics and Nordoptika.

"We are convinced that health services must be located where people's daily lives take place. Mustamäe's strong location and people's daily movement in this area make it logical for health services to come here. And thanks to the size of the building, we still have room for larger players as well," added Maido Lüiste, CEO of Scandium Real Estate.
