Last Wednesday, Scandium Kinnisvara opened a new modern rental building Magma Studios on Laki Street in Mustamäe. The building contains a total of 151 furnished one- and two-room rental studios. What makes the building special is the wide range of shared spaces for residents such as a free gym, lounge area, co-working space, laundry rooms, and a large common outdoor area. The building was constructed by Mitt & Perlebach.

Magma Studios, developed by Scandium Kinnisvara, features four types of rental studios – you can live alone or with two people, as a couple or with a friend. The largest rental studios are two-room units, with the bedroom separated by a glass wall, which brings light and openness to the studio. What makes the building special is its orientation toward the co-living lifestyle. For this purpose, various shared spaces have been created such as a spacious lounge with a bench table and a movie-watching area, a co-working space, and a gym, where residents can meet and spend time together.

Kalle Aron, founder and development director of Scandium Kinnisvara: „For us, when it comes to rental buildings, it is important to create additional spaces that bring people together, provide entertainment, and offer opportunities to meet fellow residents. Our goal is to offer young people moving to Tallinn an attractive and fully furnished living space so that the move goes as smoothly as possible. Then we want to take the next step and also offer a community to make friends with, chat with, develop new ideas, create start-ups, promote Estonian entrepreneurship, and ultimately carry out world-changing projects. I believe that a contemporary shared residential building is a good breeding ground for this!"

Maido Lüiste, founder and CEO of Scandium Kinnisvara: „We see that there is great demand in Tallinn today for a modern, nicely furnished rental apartment. By the time of completion, nearly 50% of the studios are covered by rental agreements and the demand continues. Certainly, the uniqueness of the building, comfortable shared spaces, the aura of the new building, as well as the good reputation of the professional manager Scandium Living on the market, all help here. The building as a whole fits well into supplementing our growing rental portfolio, especially since there is also a 15kw solar park on the roof, which aligns well with our green values. We pay tribute to the capable builder who, despite various global crises, kept to the schedule nicely."

Magma Studios was built by Mitt & Perlebach. The building's designer was Sirkel and Mall and the interior architect was Ace Of Space. The emerging versatile landscape architecture and outdoor leisure facilities were planned by Tajuruum Landscape Architects. Magma Studios along with all rental studios remains in Scandium Kinnisvara's portfolio and under the management of its subsidiary Scandium Living.
