Merko Tihas Apartment Buildings Reach Full Height
Merko is constructing a residential building with commercial spaces in Tallinn at the corner of Sõpruse Avenue and Tihase Street, and to reach the maximum height, the roof ridge was removed. The new building will be completed in the first half of 2024.
In the Tihase development project being built in Kristiine district at the address Sõpruse pst 26//28, a residential and commercial building consisting of two five-story building sections will be completed, which will be home to 46 families and three small businesses.
"The Tihase homes are located in an exceptionally logistically convenient location – when arriving home, you find yourself in the green idyll of the Kristiine garden city, yet in reality you are still so close to the city center. We have thought through the project down to the smallest details so that both the homes themselves and other amenities within and around the building fulfill all possible needs of a modern family," said Taavi Kotkas, development manager of the Tihase project.
The Tihase apartment buildings contain two to four-room apartments, all of which come with a terrace, balcony, or loggia. First floor apartments have, in addition to a terrace, a private courtyard area enclosed with a fence, and top floor apartments have, in addition to a spacious terrace, a glazed winter garden and a mini outdoor pool.
Behind the Tihase apartment buildings is a secure courtyard area with a fence intended for shared use, featuring play and rest areas as well as fruit trees. On the first floor of the building, there are three commercial spaces suitable for small businesses, and next to the building is a space for rental car parking.
On the underground parking level connecting the two building sections, provisions have been made for homeowners to install electric car charging points. The modern storage units on the parking level allow, in addition to storing items, the convenient charging of electric bicycles, scooters, or e-scooters. The underground level also includes a bicycle storage, washing, and maintenance room.
Merko has involved the best specialists in its field in the planning of the Tihase development project to ensure that the result is a contemporary solution that meets homeowners' needs and fits nicely with Kristiine district. The architectural solution of the building is authored by the architecture bureau Luhse and Tuhal, the interior finishing packages were created in cooperation with LÄVI interior architects, and the family-friendly landscaping architecture solution was developed in cooperation with Signe Kasepalu.
