Apartment associations often suffer from a lack of information, which creates misunderstandings between the board members and the rest of the residents.

Pindi Kinnisvara CEO Elari Udam said that apartment associations established by the state at the beginning of this year are particularly suffering from information gaps, as the new board members do not perceive their responsibility to the residents of the building. "We recommend establishing regular information exchange routines such as information letters, meetings and web-based notification systems. Residents and board members should also clearly define which events warrant the board informing the residents," he said.

"Being a member of an apartment association board is not a privilege, but a responsibility to all apartment owners, and the clearer the communication between them, the smoother life in the building runs and the faster important changes are implemented," added Udam.
