Experienced Top Leaders Join Forces to Bring 10 Million Euros of New Capital to Estonian Companies
A new financing company, Kapitalipartner OÜ, has entered the Estonian market, operating under the brand Kinnisvaralaen.ee and offering business loans secured by real estate to small and medium-sized enterprises.
Behind Kapitalipartner stands a team with extensive real estate and financing experience. The company was founded by Robert Laud and Kaspar Kaljuvee, and has been joined as partners by Ülo Kallas – an experienced financial manager and investor – and Priit Uustulnd, an investor and former CEO of Kaamos Real Estate. Ülo Kallas and Priit Uustulnd support the management in the loan decision-making process and in matters of company management, financing, and growth strategy.
Robert Laud previously managed operations at Endover, one of Estonia's largest real estate developers, while Kaspar Kaljuvee was one of the co-founders of the crowdfunding platform Estateguru.
Through their joint partnership, the team will bring up to 10 million euros of loan capital to the market in the near term to support ambitious local enterprises – not only in the real estate sector, but in all other fields as well.
According to Kapitalipartner's founders, the company was born from a very clear market need – to make financing more accessible to Estonian enterprises that want to grow and bring their ideas to life, but need more flexible financing solutions. A very large part of business happens outside Tallinn, and yet that is where capital shortage is most acute," explained Robert Laud. "Our goal is to be closer to entrepreneurs and to ensure that no good business plan fails to be implemented simply because banks cannot reach everywhere," added Kaspar Kaljuvee.
"The demand for financing from reasonable and active entrepreneurs is greater than today's bank-centered market can supply," noted Ülo Kallas. "Entrepreneurs have many good business projects that need a more flexible approach – and this is precisely where we see the strong capability of the Kapitalipartner team."
"We saw strong potential in the company and its founders, which is why we decided to join as partners to help Kapitalipartner secure the necessary financing sources," said Priit Uustulnd. Today, local capital is increasingly seeking profitable, but also safer opportunities, and Kapitalipartner creates a strong platform for this. At the same time, there are many high-risk offerings on the market, such as high-margin unsecured bonds, but Kapitalipartner offers investors a significantly more secure alternative. "Many entrepreneurs who have free capital and are looking for lower-risk and secured investment opportunities do not have a good alternative to bank deposits today, and this is exactly what we want to provide. Our broader goal is to give Estonian capital the opportunity to support Estonian enterprises, and Kapitalipartner is a good partner for achieving this goal," added Uustulnd.
The newly created financial company plans to grow its loan portfolio under the Kinnisvaralaen.ee brand to tens of millions of euros in the coming years and establish Kapitalipartner as one of Estonia's leading enterprise financiers.
