The widest selection of real estate new developments is now available on the real estate portal Kinnisvara24.ee, which became the market leader in new developments with 176 projects.
Kinnisvara24.ee CEO Katrin Aron said there is currently a shortage in the new developments market. "There is very high demand for new homes right now. The concern is the lack of supply, as developers' inventory is at a record low. The lifecycle of new developments from planning to sale is long, ranging from 3-5 years, and today the inventory is affected by decisions that developers made several years ago," Aron explained the situation in the market.
According to Aron, it is important for those searching for a new home to receive information about new offers as soon as the property is listed for sale. According to Katrin Aron, the biggest shortage of new developments exists in Tallinn, where more distinctive properties are sold quickly. "Prices are higher for larger apartments and house units, as the need for a home office has grown. There is active interest even in new development apartments with prices up to 4,000 euros per square meter, if the location and layout are good. People are expecting post-corona economic growth and making quite bold purchasing decisions," she explained.
In other Estonian cities, the new developments market is also quite active, but the choice of developments is significantly more limited and demand is lower.
As of March 18, Kinnisvara24.ee portal has 176 different new development projects for sale. On the competing portal KV.ee there are 147 new developments for sale and on City24 there are 162.
