Merko is building a new and modern kindergarten in the Uus-Veerenni residential quarter, which will be completed in the summer of 2023. In the building located at Tiiu 8, the Kalli-kalli Uus-Veerenni kindergarten will start operations in September.

„The Uus-Veerenni quarter is developing rapidly and will become home to approximately as many people as the population of Rakvere. A kindergarten close to home offers significant added convenience for families with children," confirmed Alar Toomik, the development director of the Uus-Veerenni quarter. „For home buyers, it is very important that the living environment surrounding the buildings is comprehensively planned and takes into account the needs of everyday life. We are developing Uus-Veerenni so that in addition to quality homes, our customers also get a comfortable urban environment and essential services in the vicinity of their home," added Toomik.

The topping-out ceremony, marking the completion of the building's full height, was held at the kindergarten building, where the Kalli-kalli kindergarten's Uus-Veerenni branch, with many years of experience, will open its doors in September. The new and modern kindergarten building is designed for approximately 150 children – four nursery groups for the youngest children in families and six kindergarten groups will be opened, and there is a separate outdoor area next to the building for outdoor activities. In addition to Estonian-language groups, plans include opening an English-language group, an English-Estonian and French-Estonian language immersion group, and a Montessori group.

„The Kalli-kalli Uus-Veerenni will be the residential quarter's community center, where in addition to kindergarten we offer many different services designed for families – a diverse selection of hobby groups for both children and adults, the possibility of celebrating children's birthdays, summer kindergarten services, and city camps," explained Signe Suurväli, the operations director of Kalli-kalli, describing the concept of the kindergarten opening.

The new two-story kindergarten building and its adjacent outdoor area border the Uus-Veerenni park built by Merko. The childcare facility expected in the area was created primarily for the convenience of Uus-Veerenni quarter residents, but if spaces are available, it will also offer opportunities for other families and children in the area.

Uus-Veerenni is the largest integrated residential development area in central Tallinn, located between Veerenni, Vana-Lõuna, and Tehnika streets. In the quarter, which is being completed in phases and covers approximately 12 hectares, there will be about 50 residential buildings.

To date, residents have moved into 26 buildings and 12 buildings are under completion. Recently completed in the Uus-Veerenni quarter is an 8,500 square meter public park complete with play attractions, urban sculptures that enliven the space, a rest area, and a reading corner. In addition to the kindergarten being completed this summer, future plans include the construction of a commercial building.
