Kaamos Construction Builds a 2-Million Euro New Production and Office Building for Multimek Baltic
Multimek Baltic OÜ and Kaamos Ehitus have concluded a construction contract for the construction of a new production and office building in Kehra, at Anija mnt 17. The modern 1,800 m² building will rise next to the existing production facility. Construction begins in January 2026 and will be completed by the end of the same year. The total project cost, including design work, is 2.1 million euros.
According to Rinno Saviir, the head of Multimek's Estonian factory, the investment is an important step in the company's development. "The additional production facility will allow us to increase production capacity and expand our service portfolio. We will also create more modern working conditions for our employees and improve the factory's environmental efficiency. The completion of the new building will also bring new jobs to Kehra and strengthen the company's role in the region's economy," Saviir said.
Keit Paal, a member of the board of Kaamos Ehitus, emphasized that the project is a good example of successful cooperation between the client and builder. "The preparatory work has been thorough and solutions have been found in close collaboration with the client. We are pleased to build a production and office facility that meets Multimek's expectations and helps the company strengthen its market position," Paal said.
Multimek Baltic OÜ belongs to the long-established Finnish family company Multimek Oy, which has been operating in the metal and mechanical engineering sector for decades. The output of Multimek's local factory mainly goes to Finnish factories, where industrial equipment is assembled for various industrial sectors.
In Estonia, Multimek began operations in 2012 in Kehra, where the local production unit manufactures parts and structures that are forwarded to Finnish factories for final assembly. Multimek Baltic has grown steadily in recent years and invested in equipment to offer clients flexible and quality solutions.
The Multimek Group employs approximately 200 people in total, with several dozen in Estonia. The completion of the new building creates opportunities for both increasing production volumes and implementing new technologies, while supporting Kehra as a developing industrial center.
