Hepsor Seeks Architectural Competition Ideas to Shape Lasnamäe's Image
Real estate developer Hepsor has announced an architecture competition for the design of a new residential area in Lasnamäe. Works are welcome from all professional architects for the competition, which runs until April 21st.
The architecture competition seeks a solution for a new residential area planning site that covers the properties at Narva Road 150 and 150A and the surrounding area. The area is located in close proximity to the Paevälja district and the historic Lasnamäe airfield. The planned district will have a total of 175 apartments, and in addition to buildings, green spaces, recreational areas and public spaces are also planned.
Hepsor's Estonia country manager Mihkel Mäger emphasized that the goal of the competition is to find a design that fits well into the Lasnamäe urban space and enriches the character of the area. "We are looking for a solution that creates added value to the area and fits into the surrounding environment. We want the new district to be well thought out and offer people a pleasant and safe living environment. For us, it is important that in addition to the buildings, quality public space is created," he said.
The solution should create a modern and comfortable living environment where green and well-designed spaces between buildings complement the residential area. Architecturally memorable and representative buildings are expected, which are energy-efficient and help keep both construction costs and later residents' utility costs reasonable. The design must provide adequate parking options for both residents and visitors, and convenient storage solutions for bicycles, scooters and strollers.
The competition work is based on the detailed planning of properties at Narva Road 150, 150a, 150b and Alvari Street 1, 1a, 3, 5 and the surrounding area.

All licensed architects and architecture firms where at least one architect holds a valid authorized architect license in Estonia may participate in the architecture competition.
