A new road with pedestrian and bicycle paths was completed this week in the Marienholm major development project in Haapsalu, being built by Scandium. The new street leads toward the tip of the peninsula, where visitors are awaited by a viewing platform with views of the sea. Five buildings with 50 apartments have risen at a rapid pace. In the seaside glass house, you can get acquainted with the interior finishing packages of the homes.

On the Marienholm peninsula in the city of Haapsalu, the completion of infrastructure was celebrated this week by Tariston AS. The road is bordered on one side by a seawall supported by cobblestones and on the other side by a pedestrian and bicycle path. The road winds toward the center of the peninsula, from where it continues as a dirt track. With each new development phase, the road extends until it reaches all the way to the very tip.

Maido Lüiste, CEO of Scandium Kinnisvara: "The Marienholm peninsula is developing rapidly, significant changes are visible week by week. The new road ensures good access for both visitors and builders. At the same time, we see that many clients are arriving in Haapsalu by sea during the summer months. The builder Mitt&Perlebach is making swift progress on Marienholm and we are already planning a topping-out ceremony for the entire first phase in mid-July to celebrate the achievement of the roof heights of the buildings!"

The large-scale development rising on the left bank of the Great Viik Bay to the sea in Haapsalu is the largest private capital investment made in Läänemaa in recent decades. In addition to seaside apartment buildings with summer resort architecture, the peninsula is planned to have sea piers, cafes, a public park area, a beach promenade, and a small harbor. Additionally, a new SPA hotel is planned at the beginning of the peninsula.

"Interest in Marienholm apartments has been great and with the arrival of summer, client inquiries have intensified even further. To date, more than half of the apartments have been sold and we forecast that additional significant sales will be completed during the summer. It is good to sell and develop apartments from which every window opens onto an incredible sea view – and all of this in one of Estonia's most beloved summer resort towns," commented Lüiste.

The authors of the Marienholm development are 3+1 architects under the direction of Scandium Kinnisvara, KAMP office as interior architects, and Tajuruum as landscape architects. The vision was developed by What If place-making agency. Among the co-investors of Marienholm are several well-known Estonian investors, such as investment topics spokespeople Jaak Roosaare, Marko Oolo, and Kristjan Liivamägi. The first seaside apartments will be completed in the spring of next year. www.marienholm.com
