Good idea – go on a picnic!
Summer is here and it's absolutely essential to turn your nose toward the sun more often and make the most of every beautiful day. Why not pack up the family, four-legged friends and good mood together and have a wonderful picnic that's beneficial for everyone, but an extremely cool childhood memory for the little ones! What a great idea!
Take out an Estonian map, place your index finger on some new and interesting location and start planning! You don't need much planning, you just need to get your companions on board and pack the picnic basket. In the latter, we are experienced at sharing tips and lightening the burden of worries.

Essential items in a picnic basket:
- A nice blanket to spread on the grass and to set up your festive meal on. It can also be one of the old tablecloths left in the cupboard.
- Napkins. And be nice - use textile versions, so you won't have to throw them away afterward and create waste for the world.
- A trash bag, so you don't accidentally leave litter at your picnic spot.
- With a thermos it's good to bring hot tea or coffee along. And what could be more idyllic than sitting by a lake, wrapped in a blanket, drinking tea from a thermos on Midsummer's Eve?
- Some fruits or berries could signal to you on that evening with their sweet taste that summer has arrived! Sweet strawberries or addictive blueberries are very good choices.

To add extra flair to the evening, surprise your friends with homemade rhubarb lemonade. Honestly, you won't regret it! Lemonade can be made like this:
Chop 2 rhubarbs and put in a pot. Add about a handful of raspberries and 200g brown sugar and 1 lemon juice. Add about 400ml of water and let it boil. Once everything is boiling, let it simmer for another 15 minutes.
Then take the syrup off the heat and strain it through a sieve into a container. Put it in the fridge to cool and when it's time to make the drink, pour the syrup into a pitcher, add 1l of water, about 1 lime juice, a pinch of raspberries for decoration along with lemon and lime slices and it's ready!
For food at such a lovely picnic, simple things like salads, sandwiches, cheeses, sausages, chocolates and some homemade bread are definitely hits! And if you want to be an especially good friend, bake some delicious and fluffy cinnamon rolls for that evening, for example following this recipe HERE.
But once bellies are full, it's wise to equip yourself with some fun games. Badminton, card games and various quizzes are definitely something that could keep you entertained for a long time!
Enjoy your picnic!
