A topping-out ceremony was held at Tallinn's Flower Pavilion, and the renovation work on one of the capital's most beloved buildings will be completed by the end of this year.

"The Flower Pavilion is a unique object that ranks among the top works of Estonian architecture. During the renovation, in addition to meeting the demanding project requirements, we have also had to comply with strict heritage protection regulations," emphasized Üllar Hinno, head of 1Partner Construction, which is carrying out the renovation work.

During the renovation work, the building's external dimensions will remain the same, but additional space will be created through the expansion of the ground floor level.

"From a construction engineering perspective, this is a complex project, but we have managed well and I am confident that the final result will be impeccable," said Üllar Hinno, who stated that the builder plans to hand over the building to the client on schedule, before the end of this calendar year.

The Flower Pavilion, designed by Valve Pormeister and located at Pirita tee 26, had the café Tuljak built next to it as an extension during 1964–1966, and the two buildings form a unified architectural ensemble. 1Partner Construction also restored Tuljak in 2015.

The Flower Pavilion project was commissioned by OÜ Tannenrode. The building's restoration project was designed by Apex Architecture Bureau and the interior architecture by Meelis Pess Architecture Bureau.
