Exclusive spa and sauna center to be built in Telliskivi
Telliskivi is gaining a wellness experience in the form of a city spa and sauna center, which will bring a new quality standard to the area. This is the next major development of the Telliskivi TLN business district, the M-building, part of which will house the spa and which will be open to visitors year-round.
Approximately 2,000 square meter spa center will be built between restored limestone walls, preserving the industrial character typical of Telliskivi and combining it with Nordic tranquility and high-level wellness experience. The spa added to the M-building will bring contemporary urban leisure to the historic environment.
"The planned spa will be operated by Telliskivi TLN itself. We are creating the spa in response to the needs of today's urban dweller to take a quality break from city hustle – whether it's post-work recovery, a little afternoon escape or conscious time-taking on weekends. The center will offer premium day spa, which is accessible in any weather. In addition, the spa extends to the roof terrace of the building," introduces the spa concept Telliskivi TLN's director Katrina Šokman.
The heart of the spa center will be about ten unique saunas, whose concepts and rituals offer both physical and spiritual experience. In addition, the spa will feature a diverse pool area with both larger and smaller pools, quiet rest areas, massage and treatment rooms, a sanarium and a roof terrace that is open year-round and creates a special relaxation space with city views.
According to Šokman, the spa planning aimed at wellness, recovery and healing experience. "This will become a place where the city becomes the background and the person's own inner rhythm comes to the fore," explains Šokman.
Symbiosis with Telliskivi's entertainment landscape
The new city spa does not stand alone, but strengthens Telliskivi TLN as a comprehensive entertainment and cultural environment. Spa visits will thus increasingly naturally fit with the area's exhibitions, restaurants, cafes, live concerts, bars, boutiques and venues, offering adults a complete day or evening program.
The spa and sauna center built in the M-building marks a new phase in Telliskivi TLN's development in the scale and level of entertainment, the likes of which the area has not seen before. "This is a conscious step in enriching urban space, providing both locals and visitors a reason to come to Telliskivi, stay here and return here," says Šokman.
Reconstruction of the M-building will begin in the spring-summer of this year. The development will add approximately 20,000 square meters of commercial space to Telliskivi TLN. Two-thirds of the total volume of the M-building development is planned for A-class offices. One-third of the development is devoted to functions that support quality of life such as culture, retail, entertainment, sports and wellness services. Together with the M-building, new green and rest areas between buildings will be developed and a main street running through the city block will be created along with a car-free street level. A parking building will create 350 parking spaces, with an additional 60 spaces in the outdoor lot. The M-building development will be completed by the beginning of 2028.
