Exciting and Perhaps Unexpected Christmas Decoration Ideas
Christmas is a holiday where people really love to follow traditions. We do that too, but we'd like to give you some ideas on how to do something different this year. Rakvere's Christmas tree has been quite refreshing in previous years, but we're not asking you to do anything that radical.
Our ideas aren't fresh in the sense that someone has already thought of them, but maybe they're something new for you? Let's take a look.

Outdoor candles from gate to door
Buy several outdoor candles right now and place them at regular intervals from the gate to the front door. How lovely it will be for your family or guests to arrive this way!
Textile Christmas decorations
Use only natural or even edible decorations on your tree this year. For example, we're placing fabric ribbons of various colors and small onion bulbs on our Christmas tree this time. Can you imagine that? Isn't it so beautiful?
Multiple lanterns
Place 4–5 lanterns with candles on the stairs or on the porch. This kind of bold approach works, creating a Christmas feel even before you've stepped through the door.
Grandmother's Christmas decorations
If you've been lucky enough to own vintage Christmas decorations, we congratulate you. No one else will have a tree like that.
Take gift wrapping seriously
Don't wait in the shopping center gift wrapping line this year, but wrap the gifts yourself. And if your family has a tradition where Santa asks the elves to secretly deliver presents under the tree, where they wait all day, then go a bit over the top with wrapping this time. The gifts can be part of the room's decorations after all! Add decorations and ribbons to the packages – don't hold back.

Long white candles
Oh yes, candles… If you're a regular reader of our blog, you already know how much we love candles, and there's no better time to burn them than Christmas. Of course, we advise you to be careful not to over-decorate your candles, because unfortunately, success doesn't announce itself as it arrives.
But if you're careful, then you can burn as many candles as your family can tolerate.
We suggest that this year you don't use fancy and large colored candles, but instead decorate your home only with white long and elegant candles like in the old days. How beautiful that could be!
Put your Christmas tree in a basket or bucket
If you like smaller types of Christmas trees, you can place it this year in a nice woven basket or bucket along with its base.
Display Christmas cards
If you have wall space where you can hang cards, then do it. Make a small hole in the corner of the card, tie string to it, and hang them next to each other.
Decorate the fireplace
If you have a fireplace at home, then dress it up for Christmas, for example with small Christmas lights.
Instead of a Christmas tree
If you don't want to deal with a large tree or even with branches that don't hold needles well, you can bring some bare branches from the forest and put them in a floor vase. You can hang decorations on them the same way and the result is very nice.
Did you get an idea from this? You certainly did! We liked this last one so much that we think we'll have two Christmas trees this year.
