Expert: Tesla's Opening of a Representative Office in Estonia is Only a Matter of Time
Electric car manufacturer Tesla recently opened its first sales and service center in the Baltic countries in Vilnius, but the capitals of Estonia and Latvia are also waiting their turn, confirms Mihkel Pärtel, senior partner at 1Partner Advisory, who advised on Tesla's opening in Lithuania.
Mihkel Pärtel emphasizes that the decision of such a well-known premium brand as Tesla to enter the Baltics is a positive signal for the entire region and makes it more attractive for other international investors as well. "Tesla has a clear desire to cover all three Baltic countries with its representatives, and therefore the question today is no longer if, but when? A fundamental decision regarding all three countries exists, but in the first instance, a suitable solution was found precisely in the Lithuanian capital," Pärtel explains and clarifies that the prerequisite for the final decision was a location that met Tesla's high standards in terms of customer convenience, charging facilities, and infrastructure more broadly.
Tesla entrusted the search for its new location to the world's largest commercial real estate consulting company JLL, whose partner in the Baltic countries is 1Partner. "Our task was to find a comprehensive solution suitable for Tesla, whether in the form of property purchase or building lease. Specifically in Vilnius, the preference was to lease, as the found property best suited the timeframe set by the client," says the head of 1Partner Advisory and emphasizes once again that the decision to open a representative office does not depend on Tesla only on market size, but also on technical capabilities and the speed of preparing a suitable solution.
Tesla showrooms are known around the world for their distinctive interior design, interactive solutions, and exceptional customer experience. The showroom opening in Vilnius covers approximately 1,000 square meters and includes a spacious outdoor area that can accommodate up to 100 cars at a time. The showroom features both sales and technical service options to ensure fast and convenient service for Tesla drivers.
