Construction of a beautiful family-friendly residential district began yesterday next to Luige in Tallinn. Over the course of two years, an area consisting of nearly 20 buildings will be developed, including townhouse-type small houses, two apartment buildings, and a daycare. In total, 88 new homes will be added to the district. The developers are Everaus Kinnisvara and Scandium Kinnisvara.

„Luige is developing rapidly. In the autumn, a large Luige shopping center with a gym and cafes will open here; good sports facilities for both small and large are already available today. Future residents of Luige Kodud will have everything they need for living close at hand, and it's only 5km to the borders of Tallinn," said Janar Muttik, head of Everaus Kinnisvara.

„During the summer, we focused on the preliminary work for the district's infrastructure. Since we recently received a building permit, we can now begin construction of the houses in earnest. The first homes will be completed next summer," said Muttik.

The Luige Kodud district, rising in close proximity to Tallinn, consists of eighteen two-story houses, where each building contains four townhouse-type apartments with private terraces and gardens. In addition, the district will include two small apartment buildings, a winding walking promenade passing between the houses, and a community center with a daycare.

Maido Lüiste, head of Scandium Kinnisvara: „Luige Kodud is well-suited for families who dream of a larger home, a private garden, and a nature-close living environment near Tallinn. Energy efficiency and environmental sustainability play an important role here – when moving in, homeowners will have energy-efficient ground source heating and solar panels on the roof. Additionally, there is the capability for electric vehicle charging and good connections to Tallinn both via a cycling route and in a few years also via Rail Baltic."

The district's architects are Olavi Kukk and Janar Blehner from Apex Arhitektuuribüroo, and the interior architect is Lilia Kristianson. The first phase of homes will be completed in the summer of 2024.
