Capfield Invests Two Million Euros in Lasnamäe Centrum

Capfield, a shopping center operator and developer, is investing two million euros in the renovation of Lasnamäe Center, the largest shopping center in Lasnamäe. During the renovation works that began in spring, the center will receive, among other things, a new and tall glass main entrance.

"Lasnamäe Center is celebrating its 20th year of operation this year, and our tenants and visitors have been waiting for updates. Due to the corona crisis and the shortage of building materials that occurred in the meantime, we had to postpone the renovation somewhat, but now the time has come," explained Teana Baškirtseva, the head of Lasnamäe Center.

During the renovation, the center's main common areas will be updated, technical systems will be replaced, and the interior and architecture will be modernized both inside and outside. "Most of our tenants have already modernized the interiors of their stores, and now it is time to update the common areas of the center as well, to create a unified and harmonious shopping environment," Baškirtseva explained.

Among other things, the ceilings, floors, and lighting of Lasnamäe Center will be updated. The store entrances will become more modern and the rest areas more cozy. Roof windows will be installed in the center to bring more natural light into the spaces.

The center will also become brighter thanks to the renovated main entrance, which will be more spacious and taller and built of glass. A safe car-free and cozy covered area will be created in front of the entrance. Part of the building's facade will be covered with dolomite, which is characteristic of Lasnamäe. Unique LED screens will be installed above the entrance, which will allow displaying 3D videos.

"In addition to shops, Lasnamäe Center is distinguished by a large share of services, and local customers actively use these services. Here are located a bank and post office, an insurance company representative, photo and copying services, currency exchange, travel booking counter, telecommunications service operator representatives, and so on. The construction work will not interfere with the center's daily operations: all services remain accessible and shops are open," confirmed Baškirtseva. The planned completion date for the work is mid-August.
