Bonava received the gold seal of a responsible company as the first real estate developer in Estonia

Bonava received the gold badge for responsible business as the first real estate developer in Estonia
Housing development company Bonava received the highest level quality mark from the Estonian Forum for Responsible Business as the first real estate developer, recognizing companies that are aware of and measure the impact of their activities on society.
Within the framework of the index, the company was thoroughly evaluated in three different categories: responsible governance of the company, climate and environment, and society and social environment. The highest ratings in the index were given to Bonava's governance and management culture, organizational ethics, and thoughtful activities for creating comprehensive living environments.
According to Timo Riismaa, CEO of Bonava Estonia, the company highly values the recognition received. "Responsibility is an integral part of our core business. To keep pace with the expectations of our clients, business partners and employees, it must be encoded in the DNA of every successful modern company," said Riismaa.
"As a housing developer, Bonava feels responsibility not only for building houses, but for creating comprehensive and environmentally friendly new developments. Our goal for sustainable operations is to find a balance on how to create homes at affordable prices for as many people as possible through efficient resource use and process digitalization. High recognition from experts confirms that we are also a guide for other real estate sector companies," Riismaa added.
Estonia's most comprehensive responsible business evaluation index is conducted annually by the Forum for Responsible Business. Gold, silver and bronze badges recognize companies, organizations and non-profit associations operating in Estonia. Bonava participated in the index for the second time; in 2019, the company was awarded the bronze badge.
