Astri Group Opens Raadikeskus This Fall and Reveals Next Tenants
Astri Grupp is building Raadikeskus shopping center with 20,000 m² of retail space in Raadi town, Tartu municipality, which will open in the fall of 2026. The Raadikeskus being built on the Keskuse tee 8 property will become an important hub for the rapidly growing area.
"Raadi is the fastest-developing region in South Estonia, where population growth and new homes have created clear demand for nearby services. The Raadikeskus development has been a long-term plan, and now is the right time to implement it," said Astri Grupp CEO Kairi Toom.
According to Toom, Raadikeskus will become a convenient daily hub for local residents, bringing together essential goods and services in one place. "The principle of local needs is important – until now, Raadi and Tartu municipality's growing population has had to travel to Tartu city to make many purchases," notes Toom. In the future, people will find what they need close to home – from food products to construction, garden, and household supplies.
The shopping center's anchor tenant will be Kesko Senukai K-Rauta, which will open its largest store in Estonia in Raadi. The new store will offer a wide selection of construction, garden, and household supplies, drive-in service, and modern solutions. Additionally, a Maxima XX-format store will open in the center. "Our goal is to bring Maxima's affordable shopping basket and fresh product selection closer to Raadi families," said Maxima Estonia real estate department acting head Toomas Veskimäe.
Shopping center's previously undisclosed tenants
Hesburger and Jazz Car Washes will also open their doors in the center by the end of the year. According to Hesburger's communication and international marketing director Ieva Salmela, the Raadikeskus opening in a region with strong development potential is a suitable place for opening a new restaurant. "The new restaurant will combine both Hesburger and HeseKebab concepts under one roof, and also marks our second HeseKebab restaurant in Tartu. We are excited to welcome guests and become a natural part of the area's daily life," said Salmela.
According to Jazz Car Washes operations manager Sander-Mel Mellikov, a next-generation Express car wash lane will be built in Raadi. "The new concept allows us to service over 100 cars per hour and provides customers with fast and convenient washing service without compromising quality," said Mellikov. According to him, using modern technology and water recycling systems, up to 90% of the water used in the washing process is reused, combining high service capacity with an environmentally conscious approach.
Growing together with the area's residents' needs
According to Toom, Astri Grupp follows the principle of growing together with the area's residents' needs. "We see Raadikeskus as the center of the region, where we bring to the local resident exactly the opportunities people need in their daily lives. We are part of the municipality's development and are already looking toward the next phase," said Toom.
The Raadikeskus development will create about 200 new jobs, and extensive new infrastructure will be built in the area, including streets, pedestrian paths, and bus stops. "The planning emphasizes modern urban space, including pedestrian-friendliness and creating good connections with the Raadi neighborhood. We also support an active lifestyle, bringing sports and exercise opportunities to the area in the next phase," added Toom.
