Apex Wins Keila Park Houses Architecture Competition
Apex Architecture Bureau won the architectural competition for Keila Park Homes residential area, which will consist of about a hundred homes built in the heart of Keila. The planned completion time for the first homes is the second half of 2025.
"We organized an architectural competition with the desire to create top-tier Estonian architecture in Keila. We chose Apex Architecture Bureau because their concept, in addition to good architecture, best met our wish to achieve the best possible living environment between buildings and to value the park area and green spaces. Their well-thought-out parking solution and the way the buildings blend into the created environment also spoke in their favor," explained Kristjan-Thor Vähi, head of real estate developer Invego, noting separately that the winning work helps preserve 2.7 times more trees in the area compared to what was provided for in the detailed plan.
According to the winners of the Keila Park Homes architectural competition, creating the design was a special experience for them. "The location and environment are more challenging than usual, but all the more inspiring for it. Connecting the residential area buildings so extensively with the park and high vegetation is quite a rare opportunity for architects, where one must largely be guided by the location and its particularities," explained Ove Oot, architect at Apex, who together with Liisi Vähi and Signe Kits is the author of the created solution.
The Keila Park Homes residential area will consist of six A-energy class apartment buildings with a total of about a hundred 1-5 room apartments with balconies and terraces. The residential area developed by Invego at the edge of Keila town center's pine park extends over a total of 30,000 square meters, with homes completed in 2025.
Invego is one of Estonia's leading real estate development companies that has built over 1,150 homes and 20,000 m2 of commercial space in Tallinn and its surroundings in recent years. Invego's largest developments include the recently completed Tiskreoja and Tabasalu Kodu and the currently ongoing Luccaranna and Uus-Järveküla residential areas.
