1Partner Construction is reconstructing the historical main building of the A. H. Tammsaare House Museum located in Kadriorg, along with an auxiliary building and courtyard, on behalf of the Tallinn City Real Estate Office. The reconstruction work of the heritage-protected complex costs approximately 1.7 million euros.

The A. H. Tammsaare House Museum has operated in the two-story wooden building, which was completed in 1875 and is under monument protection, since 1978. Over the years, the building's structures and technical systems have deteriorated, and moisture damage, subsidence, and weakening of load-bearing structures have appeared. As part of the project, 1Partner Construction, which previously received heritage protection recognition for the restoration of, for example, the Lilleby Pavilion, will also construct new utility lines on the property in addition to the museum's main building.

"The goal of the Tammsaare House Museum reconstruction is to modernize the building in a way that preserves its cultural heritage value and architectural integrity and ensures that it is preserved for future generations as well. The restoration of historical buildings and heritage-protected objects is certainly one of our team's strengths, and I am confident that thanks to our extensive previous experience, we will find a good balance here in cooperation with the client between modern technical solutions and preserving the original environment," says Üllar Hinno, head of 1Partner Construction.

During the work, the facades and interiors will be restored, load-bearing structures will be reinforced, the room program and exhibition areas will be renovated, and modern technical systems will be installed. To achieve energy savings goals, the roof and floors will be insulated, window thermal insulation will be improved, ventilation with heat recovery will be installed, and the buildings will be connected to the district heating network. During the reconstruction, accessibility will also be improved, including the installation of an elevator for disabled persons, the outdoor area will be renovated, new landscaping will be created, and visitor service facilities will be improved.

1Partner Construction has previously received recognition for several heritage protection projects; in the last three years, for example, for the restoration of the Lilleby Pavilion, the Art School at Kevade Street 4, and the office building at Sõjakooli Street 6. Among the most notable works of 1Partner Construction are several well-known objects, such as the restaurants NOA, Tuljak, and Mon Repos, as well as historical buildings in the Noblessner area, including Shishi, Põhjala Brewhouse, and KAI Art Center.
