Betsson Group's Move Strengthens Fahle Park IT Business Community
Betsson Group, an international company operating web-based gambling services, has decided to move its office to the rapidly developing Fahle Park business district. The company operates the Betsafe and SuperCasino brands in Estonia, and Tallinn is home to one of Betsson Group's IT development units.
Betsson, which is moving to Fahle Park in spring, has been operating in Estonia for over 15 years and now plans to expand its presence here even further. "Betsson Group owns 20 brands in 19 countries, and our Estonian unit is actively expanding today and recruiting new IT talents from around the world. This also created the need for an office in Fahle Park," said Pamela Saaron-Juhanson, Personnel Manager for Betsson Group's Baltic region.
Betsson's office will be located on three floors, and what makes it special is the dedication of an entire floor for employee relaxation and leisure. "There is fierce competition for the best talents, and increasingly there is a need to stand out with special office solutions. Our team enjoys spending free time together, and therefore we decided to create a separate recreation floor, which will include a sauna, various sports facilities, table tennis, massage, cozy seating areas, etc. Snacks and drinks will certainly be available, and much more," described Saaron-Juhanson the new office.
According to Saaron-Juhanson, world-class technology is currently being created in Tallinn, and the best talents have gathered here to do so. "We have managed to associate Tallinn with a very innovative image in the eyes of the international IT community, and special office environments support this even further. It is easier to bring foreign workforce to Tallinn, there are also excellent people locally, and therefore Betsson is expanding its IT development center specifically in Estonia, where we have grown to 80 people this year, and growth continues," said Saaron-Juhanson.
Betsson Group operates in 12 countries, and the group has a total of 2,200 employees from 60 different nationalities. Since Betsson's people are accustomed to communicating with colleagues from other countries and sometimes work in other countries themselves, they particularly value the existence of a community that comes with the workplace, where they can feel part of something. "All possibilities have been created in Fahle Park's office and public space for such a strong IT community to emerge. Betsson's office is located year-round next to a warm, exotically green gallery street, where colleagues can also meet in cafes and terraces outside the office. The presence of other services in the immediate vicinity of the office encourages pleasant interaction with a village-like atmosphere and saves employees valuable time," said Saaron-Juhanson.
According to Fahle Park's Sales Director Einar Niine, Fahle Park's business district is becoming a favorite destination for IT companies. "The reason for the move is often cited as a desire to provide employees with an environment that extends beyond office space into public areas and creates an opportunity for the emergence of interdisciplinary communities," said Niine.
