We consider the apartment's location very important: it should ideally be close to the parents' workplaces and the kindergarten or school. A good option is if grandparents live near the young family. The care of preschool children is often a major problem for young parents, if not a constant headache. For a small family, the floor is also important: the lower the floor, the more comfortable and easier it is to manage with children and their belongings.
A middle-aged single man or woman could also live in a two- or three-room apartment.
The apartment could be located in a green part of the city, in a quiet, emotionally positive environment. A clean, well-maintained and safe environment supports a solitary person, provides company and nurtures their introspective world of thought. Our elderly often live in anticipation of Sunday family meetings and other special occasions. Then everyone is welcome and there's room for grandchildren to run around.

Much more important are the emotional values that turn an apartment into a home. Tasteful play of light and colors, comfortable furnishings, memorable trinkets, pictures, photos, paintings and views from windows create a cozy little home under the care of a resourceful homeowner and a caring housewife. Favorite spots or simply a place for each family member is one of the most important conditions of a single-family apartment. At home, no family member should feel that they have no place to be. Besides the absolute necessities, one piece of furniture is what turns an apartment into a home and a place you want to return to again and again. It is a table, a large dining table that the whole family can fit around. Given today's fast-paced lifestyle, it is very important to gather around a common table once a day, look each other in the eye and listen to each other.
