Larsen's New Lifestyle Accommodation Building Celebrated Topping-Out Ceremony
At the end of 2026, a novel concept Larsen lifestyle accommodation building will open its doors in Tallinn's city center, with its completion to full height marked by a topping-out ceremony. Larsen is investing over 12 million euros in the project of the historic building located on Väike-Ameerika street.
According to Larsen's CEO Priit Vare, the new accommodation building fills a gaping hole in Tallinn's hotel product selection, as the lifestyle hotel format has not been convincingly represented in the local market until now. "Lifestyle accommodation is created for people who value experience as much as comfort – in other words, what matters is not just the room, but also the living atmosphere, architecture, art, music, and bold and distinctive design. The aim of the new building is to be not merely a place to sleep, but a meeting place for local residents seeking an inspiring environment and good energy," said Vare.
The building, dating from 1954, will undergo thorough renovation and expansion works, but its historic facade will be preserved. For Larsen, this is the sixth accommodation building designed for both short-term and longer stays. The new building will house 140 accommodation units.
The building will include studio-style apartments with kitchenettes, which are ideal for longer stays, as well as classic hotel rooms for shorter visits. The top floor will feature loft-type rooms with balconies and expansive city views.
The Uue-Maailm district is a rapidly developing area, which will also see the arrival of the US embassy in the coming years. According to Vare, this sets high standards. "We want to offer the best to both the local community and the city's residents and visitors – in addition to lifestyle accommodation, we will for the first time also offer food service in the same building, which is a new and very exciting step for us," said Vare.
On the first floor of Larsen's building, there will be a restaurant with double-height ceilings spanning two floors and a cozy winter garden, as well as a bar with contemporary interior design. Both will be open to Larsen's clients as well as to the city's residents and visitors.
Larsen's sixth accommodation building will be completed in the final quarter of 2026, and it will be Larsen's first building located in the city center. With the addition of the Väike-Ameerika lifestyle accommodation building, the number of studios managed by Larsen will grow to nearly 800.
Construction works are being carried out by 1Partner Ehitus. Architectural solutions were developed by Apex Architectural Office. Interior architects are from Dokointerior and Aeris offices.
